HONOR THE LEGACY
Kit Launch
THE STORY
A new shirt can celebrate the past. We wanted to make the past feel present.
D.C. United's Archive Kit drew from the club's earliest years, the teams, the players, the swagger that helped define the first era of Major League Soccer. The assignment was to launch the kit. The opportunity was to connect what the club had been with what it was becoming.
So we brought the generations together. Club legends. Current players. Longtime supporters. The city they shared. The shirt became the thread running between them.
WHAT WE SAW
The story wasn't the kit. It was inheritance.
D.C. United wasn't bringing back an old look. It was handing something down. Not nostalgia. Continuity.
HOW WE TOLD IT
We built the film around a journey through Washington.
Legends and longtime supporters boarded the Metro together, moving through the city and past the places tied to the club's history. Current players entered that world along the way, bringing past and present into the same frame.
We stayed close. The movement of the train, the sound of the city, old stories passed between the people who lived them. We let the moments run.
The kit was always there. It just didn't need to be the loudest thing in the film. By the end, the shirt wasn't something new being revealed. It was something being passed on.

THE IMPACT
Honor the Legacy became the centerpiece of D.C. United's Archive Kit launch, turning a product reveal into a story about the club's identity.
It brought championship-era legends, current players, and longtime supporters into one film, and left the club with a library of assets that lived well beyond launch day. The work ran across D.C. United's owned channels and earned national creative recognition.
